Jordana: INCOLOR Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner

As a self proclaimed connoisseur of liquid liners, I am always trying to find the next best one. I'm still a die hard fan of Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof  Liquid Liner but my only gripe is that by month's end, it's pretty much dry and done. At $20 a pop, that gets a bit pricey to keep purchasing.

One of my friends was raving about Jordana's Fabuliner and at $2.49 +tax at Walgreens, it was kinda a no brainer to give it a try. (I checked Jordana's website and it's listed for $2.99). Basically this liner is dirt cheap. 

Now, I'm not gonna lie, I'm always up for a good deal but sometimes when a product is really inexpensive, I get a little apprehensive about trying it out. It's still mind boggling to me how a really affordable product can be just as good if not better than a high end product. Aside from organic/natural products which will usually always cost more, I guess we really are paying more for a name brand sometimes. Hmph.

I have been testing out this liner for 2 months now, and I have to say it's pretty darn good. Factor in the price and this product is fantastic!

Pros:

-True black color

-Able to draw over and over on the same spot without the liner fading or coming off

-Lasts longer than a month

-Extremely affordable

-It's a felt tip so it isn't too flimsy or too stiff. Perfect for beginners or someone with a less steady hand.

-Size of felt tip can draw a thick or thin line

-Cap snaps securely so no unwanted drying or a mess in your make up bag occurs

As for con's, I must say I wasn't in love when I first starting using this liner. This more so had to do with the size of my eyes and lid area. I found that for the first few weeks of using this, the liner would always transfer to my lid. No matter how long I waited for it to dry, at some point it would transfer. For those that have hooded lids, you will probably experience this as well.

I almost dismissed the product all together but decided to give it one last go because I liked the price and formula. To my surprise, the liner didn't transfer! I'm assuming the liner had dried out a bit from the first few weeks that I was using it and now it set better?! I'm still not sure because it's hit and miss with the transferring. More non-transfer days as of late but there are still the occasional days where this will transfer. My friend who recommended this has larger eyes and lids so she never has a problem with transferring, lucky.

As for the other con, it would be the staying power of this liner. I can go through 4-5 hours without a problem, but any longer and there is a bit of fading. Nothing incredibly noticeable but a touch up is sometimes in order. This is also not water resistant what so ever, so if your eyes water or you get water on your eyes, this will come off immediately.

With all things factored however, this is an amazing liner for the price. I think it's much better than most drugstore liners and even some high end liners. You can't beat the price and the fact that it doesn't dry out in a month is awesome! A comparable eyeliner in terms of price point is the Essence liner which I wrote a review on here.

Moral of the story: A cheap price doesn't always equate to a crappy product. Jordana's Fabuliner is definitely a must try!
