MTTO: Antiox Serum

Part 5 of 8 of my MTTO line review! To read the original post with all the product links, you can go here.

After I had finished up the Antioxidant Carrot Multivitamin Serum, I wanted to see if there were any other serums from the MTTO line that looked appealing to try. I liked the antioxidant carrot multivitamin serum but it wasn't holy grail and as a product junkie, I was ready for something new. I also wanted to see if all the MTTO serums had the lotion texture which I mentioned in my latest review of the carrot serum. If you read that post then you know I solved that mystery after ordering the Antiox Serum.

I was intrigued by the Antiox Serum because the description had mentioned that it was targeted for combo/oily skin and it would help to reduce the appearance of large pores. Now I know that we cannot change our pore size as they are hereditary, but we can make an effort to keep them clean and not enlarge them any more than need be. Break outs and enlarged pores are my arched nemeses, and I will try just about anything to win those battles.

So how did the product fare?

Smell: The serum had a orange/citrus smell. It wasn't a smell to rave or complain about.

Texture: This was a typical serum consistency, not too thick or thin. I did notice that it would take a little bit longer to absorb into the skin but you could use it conjunction with your moisturizer to speed up the process.

Packaging: This is probably my only negative about the serums as I find the packaging to be very bulky and unnecessary. For 1 fl oz. of product, the product is basically the size of a deodorant. As you can tell by the picture above, 1 pump dispenses quite a lot of product. I will say the pump was functional and it was easy to pump out just half a pump...that is until you got to the end of the product. I had to take off the pump to use the last of the product which is when I really noticed how unnecessary the packaging was.

Results: I used this every day and night for about 2 1/2 months. As I used this, I didn't really notice that much of a difference in my skin or in a reduced appearance of my pores. I actually started to notice a  change in my skin after I stopped using this product. My skin started to look a bit more dull and minor break outs would come back. Just like the other serum, I find that these are night overnight miracle products for me, but they do make a difference in my skin over time and it shows when I stop using the products. For that reason, I would repurchase these products.
