Rimmel: Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipsticks

From L-R: #103, #110, #06, #10

I haven't been to Walgreens in a hot minute so I was shocked when I was there about a week ago and saw that all Kate Moss Lasting Finish lipsticks were 50% OFF! Yes, you read that right...50% off! Originally $5.79, which is not a bad price to begin with, $2.89 is a freaking steal! I've always wanted to try these lipsticks and what better time to do so. I'm not sure how long they are running this promo but I do know that all Rimmel is 50% until Saturday, 3/16, so it's a great time to buy!

The selection was a bit scarce at my local Walgreens but I picked up a few colors that weren't destroyed by someone previously mangling with the product. (I know you have come across those lipsticks that looks like someone half bit it/used it to draw like a 3 yr. old would..ugh.)

According to the Rimmel Cosmetics website, the Red Packaging is:
Sumptuously Rich Matte Colour with a sublime comfort.
Ruby Powder enriched formula.
Intense velvet colour all day!

and the Black Packaging is:
Hight Intensity colour for up to 8 hours.
Formula infused with Black Diamonds, reflects light like never before.
Captures all the flair, edge and timelessness of Kate's unique look.

Ruby Powder? Black Diamonds? Well that sounds fancy doesn't it?! They are all semi matte finishes with  a nice creamy consistency so they didn't feel dry or make me want to put a gloss over them which is nice..... so thanks ruby powder and black diamonds?!

The only real difference I noticed was the scent. As far as wear time and pigmentation, they were great! Scent wise the red packaging had a floral/cosmetic kind of scent which reminded me of old school makeup or like the L'OREAL Colour Riche lipsticks. Not my favorite but it wasn't super overpowering so it's bearable. The black packaging smelled like cherry candy to me which was much more favorable and for that reason alone makes them my favorite of the 2 lines if I had to pick. But since they are 50% off, I don't have to choose...I can have them all! Let the hunt begin!

*06 and 10 are my favorites out of the bunch. I wish they had cute little names instead of just numbers but I just like creative/cute catchy names on products. I guess the #'s are a good thing in hindsight... helps people like me stay on track by buying for the actual color and not just for the name (sadly this happens to me more often than I would like to admit). Guilty! ;)
